The Kanohi Ruru is the Mask of Night Vision. The Great version gives its user the power to see clearly in any level of darkness and to cast a beam of light to illuminate dark zones. It gives them a limited degree of x-ray vision. The Great Ruru can be used as a weapon to blind ememies with. The Noble Ruru does not glow, but only allows the user to see clearly in darkness.
Ruru were carved out of a mixture of Teleport and Enlarge Kanoka on Metru Nui.
Example Usages[]
Great: Toa Whenua used his Great Ruru to light the way after he, Nuju, Onewa and Lhikan escaped from the Prison of the Dark Hunters in BIONICLE 2: Legends of Metru Nui. He later used his mask to see through the floor of the Coliseum.
Noble: Turaga Whenua used his Noble Ruru to watch two Manas in BIONICLE Chronicles 4: Tales of the Masks.
